Time to remember
On December 5th 1998 it became law that all new counter balanced lift trucks must be fitted with a seat belt. A safety initiative not before time and welcomed by the British Truck Association and truck manufacturers alike.
Time to forget
However, trucks already in use on that date were given until December 5th 2002 to get their act together. (Four years to complete a two hour job!) Could a deadline this far out of sight be out of mind?
Time to think
Make no mistake, if you’re driving a truck without a seat belt, your safety is at risk. Driver comfort and safety have always been central to McLemans’ product development policy, which is why, in support of this legislation and to encourage truck owners to fit seat belts now, we have decided as a matter of policy to offer them for free.
Yes, a new McLeman specification seat belt absolutely free! All you pay for is the expert fitting and that’s a small price to pay for peace of mind.
Time to act
After this offer, if your boss tells you he’s happy to get away with another few months, tell him to belt up. Phone us now and put him on the line.
